“…toward places that turn to air” is an ongoing project that includes photographs paired with short letters to my father who deceased in 2017. Many of the images were taken along the Washington section of the Pacific Crest Trail, but also includes locations along the Pacific Northwest Trail and the Foothills Trail in Washington State.

The work’s title is from a line of Octavio Paz’s poem “A Draft of Shadows”.
